Located in Hastings, Droplet Villa with its own doorway to the sand was from the get go set to be a very special property.
The driving force for the interiors was, without a question the landscape surrounding the property with its rolling waves of sand & water dotted, like jewells, with the fisherman's huts and boats.
We interpreted tha seaside narrative in a pared back pallete & considered natural materials used in unexpected ways.
Particular attention was paid to the shapes of the furniture to create clean sightlines to bound the interiors to the land.
This four bedroom property was initially designed as a weekend getaway from the bustle of London, relaxing and light-drenched for the day-to-day of the family yet contemporary and practical to host a number of gatherings.
The result was a timeless space packed with style and deeply connected to nature that our client ultimately decided to make their primary home.
